| 100 Great Activities To Build Vocabulary and Engage Junior Secondary Students in Grammar & Punctuation | $30 |
| Vocabulary is one of the biggest distinguishers between students who achieve academically in our classrooms and those who don't. Research shows that systematically teaching vocabulary can close this gap and make a significant difference in student achievement. Yet how often do we teach vocabulary in our English classrooms? This guide not only shows teachers how they can do this, but shows how they can improve student writing and engage students by teaching grammar and punctuation in context - not in isolation. | |

| How To Teach Your Students To Argue Effectively | $20 |
| Students love to argue, but how effectively do they do it? Students can often consider only a narrow range of factors when developing arguments and often don't consider at all the audience their argument is pitched at. This guide looks at how we can support students to broaden their thinking about the issues they are considering in order to come up with the best set of arguments for or against as possible. The guide also provides activities for developing students' persuasive vocabulary and getting them to think strategically about the persuasive techniques in their writing and the structure of their argumentative writing. | |

But are these the only ways or the best ways of introducing and teaching essay writing? This guide looks at strategies for supporting students to understand essay topics, to brainstorm and develop ideas, to structure them and to develop their vocabulary to express their ideas. | |
| Effective Feedback Strategies For The English Classroom | $15 |
| Hattie's research into effective teaching and learning shows that feedback is the thing that can make the most impact on student learning. But how often have we given late feedback - or vague feedback such as 'expression!' or 'spelling!'. This makes no difference to students. So what does? This guide looks at techniques for managing the feedback process and gives models, structures and prompts for developing and giving different types of feedback. | |
