Description
This resource has been designed to support students to unpack topics, plan and write essays for Section C of the VCE English Language Exam or Unit 4 of the English Language course. The resource includes four example essays (two on Q7, one each on Q8 and 9) in response to the topics on the 2024 English Language exam. Moreover, the Q8 response has been annotated to show the qualities of a high scoring essay response.
In addition to the example essays, this resource also includes a comprehensive guide on how to write essays for Section C for the VCE English Language Exam. This guide provides detailed advice, examples, word lists and sentence starters to support students to:
- Break down an essay topic
- Plan a response
- Write introductions
- Write body paragraphs (including topic sentences, citing and analysing evidence and linking ideas)
- Writing conclusions
