This workshop is design for English teachers at Years 7-10 who are interested in the new Victorian English curriculum or involved with planning its implementation in 2025. This could include English coordinators and team leaders at 7-10. In this workshop, teachers will be:
- Given an overview of the new 7-10 curriculum and its key differences to the old curriculum
- Introduced to key skills at each level
- Shown how the new curriculum creates pathways to VCE English, English Language, Literature and VM Literacy
- Given suggestions about how to apply the curriculum to currently taught units a school has at 7-10
- Show how the curriculum can be used to create vertical skill maps and rubrics at 7-10
