This workshop will provide an overview of each of the four Frameworks of Ideas that schools can choose to study for Unit 3 of the new VCE English Study Design in 2024:
- Writing about personal journeys
- Writing about country
- Writing about play
- Writing about protest
This workshop is not intended to be a detailed ‘how to teach’ workshop for each of the Framework of Ideas (a workshop on how to teach each separate framework will be run in Term 4). Instead, the primary aim of this workshop is help schools make a decision about what Framework of Ideas to study in 2024. In order to do this, the workshop will focus on:
- Giving a brief introduction to the mentor texts for each of the Framework of Ideas
- Discussing the opportunities and potential drawbacks of choosing to study each Framework of Ideas
