This workshop is designed to help teachers deliver a unit on personal journeys for the creating texts area of study in Unit 3, VCE English. In particular, this workshop will provide teachers with strategies and resources for:
- Unpacking the big idea of personal journeys
- Helping students generate ideas for how to creatively respond to the idea of personal journeys
- Practising different types of creative writing on personal journeys
- Teaching the four listed mentor texts for personal journeys
- Providing supplementary mentor texts on personal journeys that model different text forms and aspects of the idea
- Creating SAC stimulus tasks on personal journeys and teaching students to respond creatively to stimulus tasks
