This workshop is designed for Year 12 teachers who will be teaching the novel Jane Eyre in 2025 as a text response for Year 12 English. The workshop will begin by looking at essay tasks which can be set for this text. The workshop will then look at how to teach setting, character, imagery and techniques in the novel. The workshop will focus on how to teach students to discuss and think about the messages in the text. It will also show a range of analytic writing activities teachers can engage in to improve student writing.
