This workshop looks in depth at teaching English at Year Levels 9&10 for the new Victorian Curriculum in 2025. In particular, this workshop will demonstrate how to:

• teach the craft of writing (and specifically a range of non-fiction) tasks and activities
• teach students to analyse and create spoken texts
• teach students to analyse the purpose and structure of persuasive texts
• teach students to analyse novels and films and respond in analytic and personal response essays
• teach students to develop, share and discuss ideas and opinions with other students
