This workshop focuses on the Crafting Texts area of study for the new VCE English Study Design. The workshop will provide teachers with a range of ideas and strategies to structure and run the unit, including:
*Developing assessment tasks and rubrics
*Introducing and unpacking the big idea for students
*How to use mentor texts
*Supporting students to develop and plan ideas for their own response
*Helping students understand and refine a purpose for their writing
*Strategies to model different types of writing to achieve different purposes
