This workshop is designed for Year 12 teachers who will be teaching the film Sunset Boulevard in 2023 and will focus on teaching the text for an analytic response. The workshop will begin by looking at essay tasks which can be set for this text. The workshop will then look at how to teach setting, character, imagery and film techniques. The workshop will focus on how to teach students to discuss and think about the messages in the text. It will also show a range of analytic writing activities teachers can engage in to improve student writing.
